Overview and Highlights from the Meeting of the Maharashtra Health Secretary with Corporates and Healthcare Sector by Mr. Sarthak Ranade, Vice Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and Managing Director – Janssen India, Johnson & Johnson

 

On March 18th, a concall was held with Mr. Sarthak Ranade, Vice Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and Managing Director – Janssen India, Johnson & Johnson to share an overview and of the meeting of the Maharashtra Health Secretary with corporates and healthcare sector that took place on March 17th. The session was attended by members of AMCHAM’s Western Region Committee and their teams. The call began with brief welcome remarks by Ms. Surabhi Wahal, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM. Through his address, Mr. Sarthak Ranade shared important excerpts from the meeting with the Mr. Rajesh Tope, Health Secretary, Government of Maharashtra and other senior industry leaders. He spoke of the impact that the virus can have on the functioning of industries, corporates and communities at large. He also shared insights on the measures being undertaken by the state government to contain the spread of the virus, the status of medical aid and quarantine centres in the state and the government’s suggested cautionary actions that corporates can take to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. This was followed by WRC members sharing best practices undertaken by their respective organizations. The meeting concluded with Mr. Sudhir Shenoy, Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and CEO, Dow Chemical International thanking members present for taking the time to join the call and for sharing their best practices.
