Sector Overview


The AMCHAM HR committee was formed in 2003 with the following three key pillars: “Lead, Build and Share”. To elaborate, the committee aims to lead change so as to promote advocacy for critical areas in HR. Furthermore, it aims to build and drive initiatives of skill development to consistently upgrade competence and provide an interactive platform for its members to share best practices. The HR committee discusses leadership for managing transformation, building of organizational culture and values, strategic talent acquisition and development employee engagement, facilitating synergies across employee communities, better preparedness for foreseeing emerging risks.


After a survey done in 2014, AMCHAM HR Committee focuses on three broad topics:


1. Talent Management and Leadership Development

2. Future of Work

3. Impact of digitalization and social media on HR


The forum meets regularly in Mumbai and Delhi at regular intervals and decide on the future events. Some of the upcoming events during 2015 will be:
