Diversity & Inclusion Committee’s Interactive Session on ‘Enabling Differently Abled Inclusion at Workplace’

 

On February 18th, AMCHAM organized an interactive session on ‘Enabling Differently Abled Inclusion at Workplace.’ The event was an initiative of the Differently Abled Chapter of AMCHAM’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The session commenced with Ms. Surabhi Wahal, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM welcoming the panel speakers and participants. Mr. Ajay Maddali, Chapter Co-Leader, Differently Abled Chapter, D&I Committee, AMCHAM and Head of HR, Member of Diversity and Inclusion Council of Franklin Templeton, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt. Ltd. set the stage through his address.

 

Through an insightful presentation Mr. P. Rajasekharan, Co – Founder, v-shesh, addressed realistic and progressive actions on ‘Pathway to Disability Confident Organization.’ This was followed by a presentation by Ms. Meera Shenoy, Founder Member, Youth4Jobs who shared her views on the ‘Journey on Changing Mindset.’ Through a candid narration of his life experiences as a visually challenged individual Mr. Jatin Shah, Talent Business Advisor, Deloitte, spoke on ‘Bridging the Diversity Gap – 360 Degree Approach.’ A panel session and interactive Q&A brought to fore key issues and actions essential to being a truly diverse organization. The event concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks by Ms. Vandita Gupta, Chapter Leader – Differently Abled Chapter, D&I Committee, AMCHAM and Franchise Head, Global Public Health, Janssen India, Johnson & Johnson Private Limited.
