Clean Energy Investment Roundtable with U.S. Deputy Secretary, Energy, Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall


On 29th August, AmCham organized clean energy investment roundtable with U.S. Deputy Secretary, Energy, Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, who was part of the U.S. delegation led by Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, visiting India for the second U.S. – India Strategic and Commercial Dialogue. The roundtable discussion topics included mission innovation, which relates to work taking place at the U.S. Department of Energy on mission innovation, as well as activities at the DOE national laboratories, cross-border public private partnership models for innovation and investment in clean energy technologies. Lessons learned from successes and challenges faced by innovators and investors on cross-border opportunities to improve outcomes from future engagements by incorporating the extensive experience of innovators and investors engaged in U.S.-India joint clean energy projects, were also shared. Participants included a number of leading Indian and U.S. companies as well as representatives from PSUs and startups as well.
