Report: India’s Doing Business Achievements
Secretary DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, made a presentation on ‘India’s Doing Business Achievements’ on 4th November 2017. CEO, World Bank, Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, lauded India’s 30 place jump in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ report. The PM indicated that the World Bank report was released prior to GST which would further streamline the ease of doing business in India.
The Center for American Progress Task Force on U.S.-India Relations, co-chaired by Ambassador Richard Verma and Ambassador Nirupama Rao, was specifically designed to include both United States and Indian citizens and seek a shared vision of bilateral relations over the next decade. In this report, the task force attempted to look beyond immediate challenges to longer-term goals, and recommend steps both sides can begin taking now to achieve a shared vision of the future…Click here…
Annual Christmas Ball
AMCHAM’s Annual Christmas Ball was held on December 8th, 2018 at the Hotel ITC Maurya, New Delhi. Ms. MaryKay L. Carlson, Charge d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy, was the Guest of Honor. Besides Mr. Krish Iyer, Chairman, AMCHAM India and President and CEO, Walmart India, there were a number of officials from the Indian and U.S. Governments. Over 220 AMCHAM members and guests participated in the fun filled evening.
