Interactive Discussion of Amcham Members with Mr. Peter Haas, US Consul General, Mumbai – 14th Sep '11

To welcome Mr. Peter Haas, the new US Consul General in Mumbai, Amcham organized an Interactive Discussion of Amcham members with Mr. Haas and esteemed representatives from the Consulate in Mumbai. On the ocassion Ms. Kaku Nakhate, Chairperson, Amcham Western Region welcomed Mr. Haas and shared information on Amcham ,Western Region and its activities. Mr. Atul Singh, Chairman, National Executive Board (NEB), Amcham India gave Mr. Haas an all India perspective of Amcham India. Mr. Ajay Singha, Executive Director, Amcham India shared details of the forthcoming events of the Western Region and invited all to participate. He also told Mr. Haas that Amcham is looking forward to working closely with him and the Consulate. Mr. Haas thanked all for the warm welcome and said that he too is looking forward to working closely with Amcham. He also said that the Consulate would very much like to support Amcham and its members in its initiatives and would do so in various ways. He also spoke of the various inititatives and projects during his stint in Indonesia and how he would like to work on similar initiatives in India.

During the interaction, Amcham members welcomed Mr. Haas and were happy to hear his views. Apart from sharing information on projects they also spoke of their CSR initiatives and visa challenges. The meeting was well attended and concluded on a positive note.
