The first meeting of Amcham Anti- Corruption (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) Compliance
Committee took place on 18th November, 2009 in New Delhi.

The Committee was chaired by Mr. Anand Dayal, Chairman Anti-Corruption (FCPA) Compliance Committee & Partner Koura& Co.

Over 30 members participated.

The main points discussed were:

Identifying the nature & causes of Corruption in India
Areas of risk for the US companies
Role played by Investigative agencies
Anti- corruption laws as well as the FCPA proceedings and its outcome
Initiatives to Curb Corruption
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
