Diwali Fellowship - Dr. L Subramaniam on 17th October 2008

AmCham Bangalore ushered in Diwali with a carnatic music recital by the world renowned violinist, Dr. L. Subramaniam and his accomplished son Ambi. As an invocation, the ceremonial lamp was lit by Dr. LS, as he is popularly known, our Chairman Mr. C S Murali and Vice Chairman Mr. Indraneel Roy Choudhury. After his welcome note to Dr. LS and the audience, Mr. Murali requested Dr. LS to hand the award to Mr. John Panikar, the immediate past Chairman of AmCham Bangalore, as an appreciation for his efforts in maintaining the AmCham credo under his chairmanship. And without further ado, Dr. LS and Ambi launched into their performance and had the audience totally enthralled for the next two hours!. Mr. Roy Choudhury offered the vote of thanks on behalf of AmCham Bangalore, while mentioning that AmCham Bangalore was indeed privileged in exeperiencing such an evening with Dr. LS who had performed in renowned venues such as Albert Hall, and that he had accepted to perform for AmCham in the Vijaynagar Hall at The Taj Residency! The event was well appreciated and successful with a turn out of audience beyond expectations.
