Roundtable Meeting with Ambassador Demetrios Marantis, Deputy US Trade Representative

Amcham organized a meeting with Ambassador Demetrios Marantis, Deputy US Trade Representative on 29th July 2010 at New Delhi. Ambassador Marantis was accompanied by Mr. Mike Delaney, Assistant US Trade Representative, and officials of the US Embassy.

Dr. Dinesh Keskar, Chairman, Amcham, welcomed Ambassador Marantis, US Embassy officials and Amcham members.

Mr. Bharat Bhatia from Motorola India, Mr. Roger M. Rose from Lockheed Martin, Mr. Santanu Mukherjee from Qualcomm India, Mr. Naveen Chahal from Mosaic India, and Mr. Amrit Kiran Singh from Brown Forman raised issues relating to telecom, defense procurement, IPR, fertilizers, and wines and spirits, respectively.

Ambassador Marantis addressed the members and said that he would carry the feedback from Amcham members to the Indian Government, particularly with the Department of Commerce with whom they were going to have their annual dialogue.
