After concerted efforts of AMCHAM India and active support of the Commercial and Economic Departments of the U.S. Embassy, a fast track mechanism between India and the U.S.A. has been installed.

The mechanism seeks to resolve operational business issues which US companies in India may have with any office of the Central or State Governments in India. The nodal agency for this fast track mechanism will be the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Representatives of the U.S. Embassy (Commercial & Economic Dept.) and AMCHAM India will support the U.S. side in framing the issues. Mr. Ajay Shankar, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, will chair the fast track meetings.

AMCHAM members can directly benefit from this mechanism if they have any unresolved issues affecting their business investments with any office of the Central or State Governments.
